The Bank of Portugal has authorised Bison Digital Assets to operate a custody and exchange business for virtual (digital) assets. The company, to be created from scratch and to be operated under the Bison Digital brand, is fully owned by Bison Bank. Bison is understood to be the first bank in Portugal to receive this authorisation.
Bison Bank is wholly owned by the Hong Kong based Bison Capital Holding Company Limited, through Bison Capital Financial Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited, a financial holding company registered in Hong Kong.
