PowerTrade, a crypto derivatives exchange focused on options, has partnered with Copper.co, the UK-based provider of institutional digital asset custody and trading solutions, to offer custodial and settlement services for its institutional clients. PowerTrade will leverage Copper.co’s ClearLoop technology that enables institutions to deploy capital on the exchange and trade immediately while maintaining their assets off-exchange in independent custody.
The appointment follows news that Copper.co has secured USD500m of insurance for digital assets in cold storage. Cover has been arranged by Aon, using a panel of insurers led by Canopius.
